by Michelle Bergman. I was watching her on C-Span2 today on BookTV, when suddenly, the Bravo channel popped on showing the middle of Pulp Fiction. I haven't read it yet, but she discussed the parallel world of the creationists, their new museum, and most importanly, the history and people who, for political gain began the theocratic nationalism. She also explains the difference between the evangelicals, the theocratic nationalists, how Jerry Falwell got into power, and how the Republican party used this religious debate to split the Democratic party and gain power. Then, pop! Pulp Fiction. Great movie, but I've already seen it several times.
Bergman also discussed how Thomas Jefferson, because of his ideas about religion could not be elected president today, and the insidiousness of this movement.
Has anyone read this book?
