Mr. Wallace,
Chaplain Wigginton forwarded your message below to me. We appreciate your comments. Our holiday decorations are not intended to make non-Christians feel unwelcome. We are sorry if you feel this way. Please contact me at the number listed below. I would like to hear more specifically what may have caused you to feel unwelcome.

How you feel about the religious display is not the issue. What is the issue (and what they want avoid addressing) is that the display violates the establishment clause. Their display of "sweet baby Jesus" establishes the Christian religion as being sanctined by the Federal Government. The supreme court has ruled on this issue already but they hope that if no one complains they can do whatever they want. By attempting to misdirect the focus from the legal violation to how they think you "feel" they keep the discussion away from the real problem. I think you should tell them your feelings are irrelevent to this issue. Ask them if they will be having only Christian displays or are they going to allow other religious displays on government property. Tell them your coven would like a big bonfire on Holloween to commerate all the withches burned at the stake by the Catholic Church. Think they will have a problem with that?
